Not sticky but otherwise great

Maybe I didn’t read enough before buying but I didn’t realize this tape is from 1955 and needs to be dampened before it becomes sticky. I was under the impression it was sticky on it’s own. Other than needing to wet an entire strip of tape for each section of my shipping boxes— it’s great.
