Is there a risk of dye migration with DTF transfers?
You may experience dye migration on DTF transfers if your iron or heat press is too hot when applying them to your fabric or if you dry your garment on a high heat setting.
Dye migration occurs when the color from one fabric bleeds into something touching it. For example, white lettering on a red shirt may become pink due to dye migration. This happens when the object is overheated on the fabric, like when a clothing dryer is set too high.
If you're concerned about this or notice dye migration when applying your heat-activated designs, we recommend starting with lower heat and a longer application time. This will help you become familiar with how your specific fabric responds to the heat transfer application.
